January 19, 2017 marks the end of St. Joseph Health’s original 20 year lease of Petaluma Valley Hospital (PVH). Petaluma Health Care District (PHCD), the public entity which owns the hospital, has requested formal proposals from health care organizations that wish to operate PVH by either leasing the hospital from PHCD or purchasing the hospital.

St. Joseph Health has submitted a formal proposal to continue to operate the hospital. In addition, three other health care organizations have submitted proposals.
