CLOVER SONOMA LEADS THE WAY IN COVID-19 SUPPORT

Clover Sonoma, The Petaluma-based dairy, has led the way in supporting Petaluma Valley Hospital by committing to donate more than $100,000 to provide three much-needed ventilators and other critical medical supplies. The gift is no surprise — Clover founder Gene Benedetti started a long tradition of giving to his local hospital, a value that has been carried on by his grandson and current CEO Marcus Benedetti.

Clover’s donation came with a challenge for the rest of the community to step up and support Petaluma’s only acute care hospital. Visit the Clover website here to learn more about their gift. Your support is needed to acquire an additional ventilator as well as for some of the costs of caring for COVID-19 patients here close to home.

I want you to know of the herculean efforts made at PVH over the past month to convert physical space, partner with the state and others throughout the west to obtain personal protective equipment, and ensure that our front-line health care workers are ready to meet the needs before us.

Despite all best efforts there are no guarantees in the healing work we do. In this crisis it has become clear that when lives are on the line, every one of us has the ability to dig deep, to find more where there is none, to scrap and scrape whatever is needed – and to deliver exceptional compassionate care to those in need. The work we do saves lives.

Petaluma Valley Hospital Foundation, in partnership with patients, physicians, employees, community leaders and philanthropists, raises money to help Petaluma Valley Hospital to meet the health needs of the communities they serve. These funds enable the hospital to offer state-of-the-art care to its patients while advancing St. Joseph Health’s mission of excellence, justice, dignity, and service. The philanthropic partnership enhances the hospital’s ability to create a compelling work environment for physicians and staff and offers fulfilling opportunities to donors and volunteers. Your care starts here.

The Foundation office is located on the first floor of the hospital and we welcome your visit.

Petaluma Valley Hospital is an 80-bed acute and critical care hospital which offers 24 hour emergency and outpatient services. The hospital is approximately 40 miles north of San Francisco just off the Highway 101 corridor in southern Sonoma County in the town of Petaluma.
