Dr. Michael Star
Dr. Michael Star is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in spinal disorders and joint-replacement surgery. A graduate of Boston University School of Medicine, he completed his residency at the State University of New York and fellowship training at the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, Calif. In 1991, Dr. Star began practicing orthopedics in Santa Rosa. He has served as an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. His articles have appeared in numerous publications, including Spine, Journal of Arthroplasty, Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, and Orthopaedics.
Currently, Dr. Star serves as chairman of the Department of Orthopedics at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital and co-director of the Total Spine Health Program at Santa Rosa Orthopedics.
