Inpatient Physical Therapy
Our team of licensed physical and occupational therapists is expertly trained to decrease pain and restore function to those recovering from joint replacement, trauma, and other conditions. During the healing process, therapists also focus on reducing stress, minimizing joint strain, and conserving energy.
For joint replacement patients, therapy may take place just two hours after surgery, and then twice per day during the remainder of a patient's hospital stay. This enables patients to gain strength, mobility, and independence after surgery in a safe environment.
Our Acute Rehab Unit is designed for patients who need aggressive rehabilitation services, such as those who have suffered a stroke, trauma, or have had bilateral knee or hip replacements. These patients will likely need physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy for a period of longer than one week in the hospital.
